Our Navigators

Lori RN, BScN, MEdHPE, CCCI, CHNC(c), LNC

  Lead Client and Family Advocate

I have been a Registered Nurse for over 20 years in the province of Saskatchewan, providing care in both the southern and central part of the province.  I am Master's prepared with specialty certifications.

My experience has been in NICU (neonatal intensive care), community, correctional and forensic nursing, emergency, family practice and nursing education.  I maintain clinical practice as an educator, field examiner and legal nurse consultant.  I am dedicated to giving back by volunteering with several community and national organizations.

I am passionate and committed to supporting the people and families of Saskatchewan, acknowledging that the healthcare system can be overwhelming and complicated.  The concept of Registered Nurse Navigators was something I've envisioned for over a decade.  Working with a friend and colleague was an essential step as the diversity of expertise and our wisdom will best serve the people of the province.

I find balance by spending time with my family.  I play the bagpipes competitively and enjoy the travel and friendships gained over the past 35 years of playing.

Heather RN, BSN, MN

 Lead Client and Family Advocate

I have been caring for the people of Saskatchewan for over 20 years as a Registered Nurse. I also graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, graduate program where I completed a Masters in Nursing. My career has consisted of nursing in a variety of adult medical-surgical settings, including critical care and the post anesthetic care unit. I currently maintain practice as a nursing educator and Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.

I am passionate about advocating and supporting people to gain a better understanding of their health and the healthcare system. Healthcare can be a confusing place especially when people are feeling stressed. I am empathetic to the clients needs and provide a safe place to discuss their health. I feel strongly that everyone needs an advocate in their life to help navigate the turbulence and undertow that can make a person feel like they are sinking and alone.

When I am not supporting other people, I enjoy downtime with family and my German shorthaired pointer "Sully", exploring Northern Saskatchewan and being creative in the kitchen trying new recipes!
